  24.     I have (somewhat foolishly I wonder.....) offered
  25. to give a paper on tariff evolution to a conference. The paper
  26. is largely written now, but I wondered whether anyone has collected
  27. together the range of tariff structures (and rates) which
  28. are in use by the TELCOs worldwide for ISDN (and perhaps other
  29. dial-up non-analogue) services ? I am more interested in the structures
  30. of the tariffs rather than the actual charges for the present time.

  32. One item of specific interest is whether anyone knows
  33. of a 'charged capped' tariff. I.e. is anyone aware of a tariff
  34. which by design was intended to encouraged use of the lines for
  35. many hours per day (instead of leased lines etc...)
  36.  
  37. I.e. I am thinking of a position where the charge is
  38. perhaps x per minute for 2 hours, then a lower y per minute
  39. for perhaps a further 5 hours and then perhaps free. With the
  40. mechanism being 'reset' at midnight (more likely 8.00a.m.)
